Voting for the worlds richest mile race, the $5,000,000 All-Star Mile opened on Friday and along with it begins the campaigning for votes in the race.
The All-Star Mile is a unique race where a fan vote decides the majority of the final field and among the 83 nomination for the race, Tasmania is strongly represented. Junipal and Kemalpasa were bred in Tasmania, while Mystic Journey and Still A Star were bred and remain trained out of the state.
By simply submitting a vote in the All-Star Mile you could win a share in $500,000 and Tasracing are encouraging you to get behind the two locally trained horses with a special All-Star Mile competition which will be launched next week.
Mystic Journey
The All-Star Mile will forever hold a special place in the hearts of Tasmanians as the Adam Trinder-trained mare won the inaugural version of the race in 2019 as a three-year-old.
Mystic Journey began her campaign on Wednesday night in Launceston with a narrow second to Blaze Forth in the $50,000 Ladbrokes Stakes, but her closing sectionals in the race suggested she isn’t far off her best and she’ll no doubt derive plenty of benefit from that run.

Still A Star
Connections of last season’s three-year-old of the year have made their intentions clear in recent weeks that the All-Star Mile was the goal this campaign for the Bill Ryan-trained mare who has won 7 of her 12 career starts.
Nearing a return in the Group 3 Bow Mistress on Ladbrokes Hobart Cup day, Still A Star has been brought up to the mark with two recent trials in Longford which suggest she will be ready to fire when she returns to the races.
