FINDING best bets on the eight-event program at The TOTE Racing Centre in Launceston tonight is no easy task.

But the Mick Burles-trained Rosemount Dara has done enough at her past two outings in Launceston to suggest she is close to a win.

In a small field of seven her race experience and recent form should prove enough to get her home.

There are a couple of first starters that have trialed well including the Troy Blacker-trained Known About Town that ran third at his most recent trial behind Kentucky Tea that debuted last week with a creditable effort and Unlimited that he meets in this race tonight.

Known About Town is a full brother to Blacker’s 2012 Devonport Cup winner Devon Flyer and a half to Dream Pedlar that was retired after finishing third in the 2013 Launceston Cup.

Unlimited is prepared at Spreyton by Barry Campbell who has taken his time with this five-year-old gelding by Savoire Vivre from the Spectrum mare Spectograph that was a mud lark.

I Am Invictus also is making his debut as a five-year-old and he too was placed in a recent trial behind Before Spring from the Troy Blacker stable.
