Thoroughbred action had a week off the feature races but that didn’t stop some impressive performances across the nine-race program in Launceston last Wednesday. In the Week in review Matt Reid identified the two winners that Adam Trinder had at either end of the program as horses that appear to be going places.
Siggy Carr had a training double and riding treble in Launceston on Wednesday and sits comfortably inside the top 10 of both premiership tables, with a winning strike-rate of above 20% from a training perspective.
Wednesday’s program was an uncharacteristically poor one for Matt’s Staking Strategy, failing to strike a blow in any of the nine races. The FORMPLUS Black Booker that Matt found from the meeting doesn’t win out of turn either, but another win doesn’t appear far away.
