Apprentice Codi Jordan was the star of the show in Devonport on Sunday riding three winners on the eight-event card and all were for her master Glenn Stevenson.
Jordan partnered odds-on favourite Lesnar ($1.90) to a stirring victory in the opening race of the day, a benchmark 66 handicap over 1350m and followed up with a great effort to secure victory for High Maintenance ($3.60 equal fav) in a 0-60 over 1880m.

But her best ride was aboard former King Islander Rising Hsaing that made it two wins in succession in a benchmark 60 over 1150m.
Lesnar was well backed and sent around an odds-on favourite but halfway up the home straight it appeared as if the other well-backed commodity Sanction King ($3.80 into $3.10) would run straight past the favourite.
But under strong riding from Jordan, Lesnar fought back and got the bob in, right on the line.
Her handling of High Maintenance over the 1880m trip was first class and delivered the desired result for the Zoffany gelding’s owners who have had to endure luckless minor placings from his only two previous tries since joining the Stevenson stable.
Rising Hsiang came from King Island with hopes of picking up a win but the way he has delivered for wins at his past two outings there should be more wins in store for this five-year-old son of Reward for Effort.
Jordan has gone to a new level this season and that is reflected on the jockey’s premiership table.
She has notched 25 wins and 43 minor placings from 207 rides for a winning strike rate of 12.1 per cent for prizemoney approaching $500,000.
