SMART three-year-old filly Refuse To Lose tuned up for her return to racing with an eye-catching trial win at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart today.
Refuse To Lose showed above average ability last preparation with a debut win and two starts later she finished second to Settler’s Joy in the Thousand Guineas over 1600 metres in Launceston.
She ended her firs preparation with a near last effort in the Strutt Stakes over 2100 metres on Hobart Cup Day.
The Tammy Mollross-trained filly looked sharp in today’s trial, sitting outside of the leader Achaea but made light of the task to go on and score comfortably with in-form jockey David Pires aboard.
Refuse To Lose (Refuse To Bend-Facing Danger x El Moxie) is expected to resume racing in an 1100-metre class one handicap in Hobart on Sunday week (May 9).
