This Sunday the annual Think Pink Cup is back in action. Now in its 6th year and having raised over $170k for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, there is an expectation for record breaking numbers.
This local event not only aids this charity but also assists in bringing life to our thoroughbred racing industry here in Tasmania as the Think Pink Cup heralds the racing season in winter with this year’s event is proudly sponsored by MacMurray Insurance Brokers.
Approximately 600 diners attend this annual event, making it the largest charity luncheon held each year in Tasmania, and the Cup day attracts inter and intrastate visitors, with over 3000 on course attendees each year.
The popularity of this event is a demonstration of the generosity and support of the Tasmanian community, who recognise that the 14000 people diagnosed each year in Tasmania are their friends, partners, relatives, colleagues, neighbours and employees. Everyone in our community has been touched in some manner by this disease.
