THE sky could be the limit for talented pup Hellyeah Bolt given the ease with which he won the Young Star Classic final at Tattersall’s

Park in Hobart last Thursday night.

Hellyeah Bolt began fairly from box three but was shuffled back to third when Silent Girl found the rail to lead clearly.

But Hellyeah Bolt improved rapidly and nearing the home turn he railed inside the leader while his litter brother Hellyeah Missile followed him through and they look set to fight it out.

But Hellyeah Bolt slipped into overdrive on straightening for the run home and he went on to defeat Hellyeah Missile by over six lengths  with Sober Moment a distant third.

The race was run in pouring rain but the talented young dog scampered over the 461 metres in a slick 25.86 which was only a couple of lengths off his personal best of 25.75 that he set in a heat of the Breeder’s Classic on July 4.

Hellyeah Missile is a star in his own right but Hellyeah Bolt is improving with racing and could develop into a superstar.

Hellyeah Bolt is prepared by Paul Hili who is caretaking the training of the entire litter while trainer Anthony Bullock serves his disqualification for a positive swab.

The penalty for the offence was recently reduced on appeal from six to four months.

Bullock will be clear to resume training from midnight November 11.

The litter comprised nine pups of which seven survived to make it to the races and all but Hellyeah Tangles have won.

Hellyeah Bolt has won five from eight, Hellyeah Missile five from 11; Hellyeah Flicka four from 15; Hellyeah Fiona three from 10; Hellyeah Jetta has won once from nine and Hellyeah Razor one from 15.
