IF the Rod Ransley-trained sprinter Lonesome Knight can mirror her effort on the Launceston track last week then she should easily account for her rivals in the seventh race over 515 metres at The TOTE Racing Centre in Launceston tonight.
Lonesome Knight flew the lids from box seven last week and made every post a winner on her way to an effortless win in a grade five.
She steps up to grade four company tonight wearing the pink vest but it will be a stroll in the park if she takes her last-start form into the race.
Meanwhile in-form sprinter Daniel’s Bay looms as one of the best bets on the card in race four, a juvenile event over 515 metres.
Daniel’s Bay has been a model of consistency of late and while he failed three starts back there were excuses.
He has been known to miss the start but if he brings his best box manners from box two he should zoom straight on the lure and lead his rivals a merry chase with the logical dangers Classy Barbie (8) and No Yes Know (1).
