BROADMARSH trainer lightly raced three-year-old Arkadashim after the gelding scored an emphatic maiden win at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart today.
Arkadashim produced an eye-catching run on debut in Launceston to finish fourth after being caught wide throughout the race over 1200 metres.
But today at his second outing apprentice Bulent Muhcu was able to have the three-year-old settled third on the rails and travelling sweetly to the home turn.
Race leader Blue Tier held sway over Golnali to the home turn before kicking clear at the top of the straight but when Muhcu called on his charge to extend he quickly put the end result beyond doubt.
Listen to what trainer Walter McShane had to say about Arkadashim after the win.
