HANDY thoroughbred mare Come Follow Me will take winning trial form into a race in Melbourne in a fortnight.
The David and Scott Brunton-trained four-year-old will line up in a 0-70 mares race over 1200m at Sandown while her well-performed stablemate Royal Rapture will also head interstate and tackle a 0-78 handicap on the same day and over the same trip.
Come Follow Me was given a slid workout in the trial by jockey David Pires at Tattersall’s Park in Hobart yesterday scoring by a length from former Sydney three-year-old filly Beck And Call with her stablemate Qui Samer two lengths away third.
The mare covered the 900 metres in 59.40 seconds and ran home her last 600 metres in 36.09 on a slow surface.
Royal Rapture will head to Melbourne with winning form having been successful in an open handicap over 1350 metres at Devonport last Sunday week.
