HEATS of three divisions of the JG Nelson Cup over 515 metres take up the entire nine-race greyhound program at The TOTE Racing Centre in Launceston tonight.
There will be two division one heats for grades 1-3 dogs and the same for Division 3 that caters for juvenile chasers while there are five Division 2 heats for grade 4 & 5 dogs.
The Russell Watts-trained Little Turn lines up in a Division 2 heat and he is backing up from a second to Nadastrom in a grade five over 461 metres in Hobart last Thursday night.
Little Turn was pipped on the post in Hobart but if he begins well from box seven tonight (race 5) then he looms as the one to beat.
The dog is having only his fourth start in the state and goes into the event having won at his first two outings (Hobart and Launceston) before his latest second.
