Simpsons Bay (R2) for Exeter trainer Anthony Bullock has been speedy and consistent at his last three starts at Tattersall’s Park for two seconds and a third and can lead all the way from box two. Prepost favourite Glamour Gas will the hardest to beat while Global Deejay for Peter Phillips is a first starter and should be kept safe.
Daniel’s Bay (R6) has really been firing of late winning the rich Minister’s Gift Final at Devonport at his last start. Trained by Gary Fahey this son of Talk’s Cheap should prove too strong in Heat Two of the Gold Cup. Hannah Boden is a consistent beginner and looks the hardest to beat while Shanlyn Vapour continues to run the trifecta.
Hellyeah Bolt (R8) is back from an unsuccessful interstate campaign but is a great chaser and will enjoy jumping from the red.
