STAR Tasmanian galloper The Cleaner is on his way to Melbourne for another Group 1 assignment.
The Mick Burles-trained gelding will line up in the Group 1 Emirates Stakes over 1600m at Flemington on Saturday and he is in great shape for the contest according to his trainer.
The Cleaner won three races in succession before being beaten 3.5 lengths in the W. S. Cox Plate at Moonee Valley two weeks ago.
He drops back to his pet distance at Flemington (1600m) and Burles says he will be disappointed if he doesn’t figure in the finish.
