St. Leonards chaser Rojo Jojo is aiming to secure her first victory over 515 metres as she competes in the Clarkie Tyres Grade 5 event in Launceston on Tuesday afternoon.
The red-brindle daughter of Aston Dee Bee and Peco Can has raced in excellent form of late despite having not secured a winning performance since October last year.
Robin Grubb prepares the three-time winner from 20 starts, who competed at this track and distance last time out, finishing second to Buckle Up Alani in 30.14 seconds.
She possesses the sectional split times that indicate an early lead over her competitors, running a slick 5.03 to the first corner from the boxes, but the final 100 meters is a vulnerable point.
If she manages to secure a substantial advantage early on, the race is hers.
From box 3, Rojo Jojo is the $2 favourite ahead of Highgate Molly for Kyron Ebdon at $2.10 from box 1, with Stipulated for Graeme Lawson next in the betting market at $7 from box 6.
The Ladbrokes Punters Assist Grade 5 over 600 metres features a field of seven runners, with Tasmanian Laurels winner Two Girls aiming for victory over this distance for Glenn Howlett.
She is the $1.85 favourite from box 5 against the last start winner, Arcadian Ruby, from box 4.
