JUDBURY trainer Harriet Paul will venture to Tattersall’s Park with only one runner but she is hoping Tough At Heart can emerge a winner in the Think Pink Cup over 1200m (race 8).

Tough At Heart is resuming from a three-month spell but he won a trial on the inside grass at Tattersall’s Park last week over 900 metres for what Paul believes to be a good guide to his chances on Sunday.

“He trialed in heavy going and he got through it really well so I’m expecting him to be very competitive on Sunday,” Paul said.

Tough At Heart is a four-year-old that has won five and notched 10 minor placings from only 28 starts for almost $75,000 in stakes.

Paul regards the Tough Speed gelding as her stable star and understandably so given his consistency this past year.

There are plenty of chances in the race that is the feature on the nine-event program.

Turbo Qui has speed to burn and he is a last-start Hobart winner over the distance. He subsequently went to Victoria where he was unplaced at Flemington before running third to God’s Window at a midweek meeting at Caulfield on June 27.

Tough At Heart has drawn gate 13 which given the way the track has been playing lately, is a blessing, although Turbo Qui also has fared well in gate 14.
