Joffa’s Me Mate ran an excellent second in fast time last week and is drawn to go one better in Race 2 at UBET Park tonight. Trained at Bagdad by Katrina Gregory this son of Chinatown Lad named after the Collingwood Cheer Squad leader has a special Gold Rug to put on when he wins a race and tonight might be the night. Hardest to beat will be Sonic Sprite and Night Rhythm.
Senor Slamma (R7) is back at the spacious Hobart track tonight. This grand chaser had a sensational victory first up at Devonport to record 25.27 and having won nine from sixteen starts and drawn to get a clear run in eight he should use his customary speed to lead and prove very hard to run down. Bruny Venture, Star Chamber and Underclass Hero will push him all the way.
Tricky Tails (R10) is a powerful finisher and gets his chance to post another victory here.
