Edward Pressnell celebrated his first win as a trainer when rogue mare Our Lieveling powered her way to an impressive win in a maiden-class one over 1600m on a heavy track.

Our Lieveling has been a problem horse for a few trainers but Pressnell is the first to get the best out of the well-bred mare on race day.

On race days she still refuses to be tied up in a stall so Pressnell has no option but to keep her on the move so to avoid any mishaps.

Our Lieveling is by Matsqui from the Kenvain mare Moikind and she has produced many eye-catching performances from her 19 previous starts only to fail at subsequent outings.

But Pressnell has built a reputation as a quality trackwork rider and horse breaker and it is his prowess as a breaker that has allowed Our Lieveling to deliver a maiden win.

Pressnell has only a couple of horses in work at Longford stables but he is hoping to expand that next season.
