TALENTED greyhound Lorus Time gets the chance to break back into the winner’s circle when he lines up in the Curtains & Blinds Stakes for grades 1-2 chasers (Race 5) at UBET Racing Centre in Launceston tonight.
Lorus Time made his way into the state final of the National Sprint Championship last Monday night but aft5er suffering a check he failed to run on and finished sixth but beaten only six lengths.
The Ted Medhurst-trained dog had to contend with box eight in that race but tonight he has drawn his favourite box one and provided he jumps with them he should lead and be very hard to run down.
His main danger should be kennel mate Prescribe that has been very unlucky and his past few outings and will probably need luck on his side from box six.
But it he happened to ping the lids and be in contention for the lead at the first turn he is capable of winning comfortably.
