TALENTED greyhound pup Wynburn Arrow proved the value of box one in feature races when she made the most of the draw to win the Young Star Classic final over 461 metres at UVBET Park Hobart last night.
The Ben Englund-trained bitch began well to share the lead with Keune (4) but when she gained the upper hand at the top turn she sped clear and went on to win comfortably from Long View Belle with Keune hanging on for third ahead of Cash and Co.
Wynburn Arrow is a keen railer so she was suited by the draw but punters still sent her around at the lucrative price of $10.80 on the Tote.
Local View started the easing favourite ($3.10 fixed odds) while Long View Belle was well backed to start the second elect at $4.40.
Local View suffered an early check while Joker Jones also was spat out the back when he was checked when attempting an inside run nearing the top turn.
Wynburn Arrow (Magic Sprite-Hayley’s Girl) has notched four wins and as many minor placings from only 10 starts and she is one of a litter of six that includes Wynburn Witness that recently won the HGRC Breeders Classic final.
