NORTH-WEST COAST greyhound trainer Russell Watts admitted he would love to have a kennel full of dogs of the calibre of Immortal Dream that made it three wins in the space of five starts at UBET Park in Hobart last Thursday night.
Immortal Dream lined up in the Spud Regis at Stud Stakes for grade four sprinters over 461 metres and while her winning margin was the narrowest possible, it was the way she went about collecting her 12th career victory that impressed.
Immortal Dream began well from box one to lead but only after she bustled her way to the front after a stoush with Mason Pines (2) and Locknane Oscar (5).
“This bitch is just a real good chaser that has good habits and she loves racing,” Watts said.
“As a rule she’s all flat out and go and that was the case with this win but she was tough at the end and that was pleasing.”
Immortal Dream is owned in Victoria by Denis Kolokathis who has been a long time supporter of Tasmanian racing and in particular the Watts’ kennel.
“Denis and I have had some success over the years but it’s always good to see him get another one that has been so consistent.”
