TALENTED Tasmanian apprentice Siggy Carr is contemplating a move back to Tasmania that could coincide with the start of the night racing season next month.
Carr has been riding with success in South Australia for the past two years but when she got the news yesterday that her father, trainer Royston Carr, had suffered severe concussion after parting company with a young horse during a grass gallop at UBET Park Hobart, all she wanted to do was be there for her dad.
Carr also has had to deal with being away from her son Dylan who remained in Tasmania in the care of her parents.
She said she had been contemplating a move back to Tasmania but she is unsure whether or not it would be in her best interests to return too soon as she still has unfinished business in SA.
Listen to what rider Siggy Carr told tasracing.com.au’s Peter Staples about her immediate future.
