Launceston 18th October 2015
We move to the States north this week to Launceston which is a very spacious track in where most runners get every chance. It looks a night in which most of the fancied runners should salute.
RACE 1 : 5:18pm MITAVITE PACE 2200M
This is a C1 only to kick off the nights racing. ANIMI SUB IGNIS (2) resumed with a very stylish win a fortnight back on this track. He draws ideally here so with a safe beginning he will be clearly the hardest to beat. IM FULL TILT (4) was good last start when never gave up chasing a pretty smart customer. He may have a look early so if was able to get across will give some cheek. GRINABLE (8) has been ok at two runs from a break so if luck comes his way will be a player. SMILING FORCE (3) and UNION FORCE (9) have both been thereabouts of late so are a must for the exotics. ROBERT MOREAU (5) has had no luck at all of late. Gareth jumps on board so can run a sneaky race at odds.

RACE 2 : 5:46pm BOTRA PACE 2200M
This is a very open CO only. BUSTED (1) resumed with a very solid placing. He draws ideally here from the pole so will take plenty of running down. BERRI DAMOUR (6) had her chance last start. She will be hoping to get a cart into the race and if does will be a major player. TOMEARA (7) has had no luck in two runs since arriving in the State. He draws wide again so will be hoping to get some cover early and if does will take holding out. GOTTALOVEFRIDAYS (8) is nearing a win for the inform John Castles stable. He gets a great run through so will settle and can win. STINGOFASCORPION (2) and CEMENTO RAPIDO (3) are both good place chances with the right runs here. AS HIMSELF (4) and FLYLIKA HAWK (5) are next best and can also sneak a minor placing.

DANGERS : BERRI DAMOUR (6) is a danger along with TOMEARA (7).
ROUGHIE : GOTTALOVEFRIDAYS (8) can win at good odds.

RACE 3 : 6:14pm BEVAN LEES BUTCHERY PACE 1680m
This look’s a very tricky affair. FOWSANDS (8) has been racing very well of late but has to overcome the inside back row draw. He will be hoping to get off the pegs early and if does is clearly the one to beat. DEVIL OF TYNE (10) has been racing very well and is suited by the trip. He will get a good run through early so has to be a chance. KON TIKI (11) has been thereabouts in this class of late so has to be kept very safe. OLIVERS MATE (9) does have a bit of ability and resumes into a winnable race. He will need to be pretty close to the mark to be winning this but can if he is. CARD SHARK KIWI (7) has been thereabouts of late so is one that can sneak a place at odds. BRUSH WITH DANGER (2) and SHEER IMPACT (12) are next best.

RACE 4 : 6:41pm NEIL PITTS PTY LTD PACE 2200M
This is a race for the C2/C3 pacers. ONEMORELAUGH (11) has been racing very well and will find this much easier than latest run. He will be hoping to get a cart into the race and if close enough may prove too quick up the straight. METRO DIGBY (6) showed a glimpse of his best form last start. He will find this harder but at his best he would give this a shake so keep very safe. HOLME ON THE BAYOU (12) has been thereabouts of late so if he can track up ONEMORELAUGH (11) he will be finishing strongly. OUR PERCIUS (8) was impressive first up for the new stable. He will settle 3 or 4 pegs so will need luck but can run into a place. LU WAY LORD (2) won a much easier race last week but from the good draw can sneak a place. STONER RAINBOW (3) , SIGN OF ORO (4) , ME MATE LES (5) , PEACE CORPS (9) and CARDINAL ART (10) are all capable of running into a place.

DANGERS : METRO DIGBY (6) is the danger along with HOLME ON THE BAYOU (12).
ROUGHIE : ME MATE LES (5) sneaky chance at odds.

RACE 5 : 7:11pm RILEY O’CONNELL STAKES 22OOM
This is a very tough C2 or better stand. CASCADE FLYER (7) returns from Victoria in where he was ok. He is risky from the tapes but if he steps safely he is the hardest to beat dropping back to this class. MAJOR CALLUM (8) is a tough type who won a similar race to this last week. He will need to ping away and if can find the breeze he will be in the finish. JACCKA TOM (12) was first up last time when was spotted hitting the line very strongly. He will be fitter for that and if he can get a cart into the race will be a huge danger. FAITHFUL JET (10) is another tough type who is knocking on the door so has to be kept very safe. RUSTY RED COMET (3) led and gave plenty of cheek in a similar race last week so if he can ping away will give some cheek. ROCKBANK DANCER (4) , THE BIG PARADE (5) and STRANGE CONDUCT (11) are all capable of running a place at odds.
TOP PICK : CASCADE FLYER (7) is the one to beat.
DANGERS : MAJOR CALLUM (8) is the danger along with JACCKA TOM (12).
ROUGHIE : RUSTY RED COMET (3) can give a sight at odds.

RACE 6 : 7:47 MICKS FRUIT & VEGIE SHED STAKES 2200M
This is a C1 only. WINGATUI DEW (4) has created a huge impression in his two local starts to date. He draws to push forward and if finds the top they will have their work cut out running him down. LICINIA (2) has gate speed so may and try and hold up so can give some cheek if does and even if hands up will get her chance down the straight. HAPPY SCHNAPPS (5) is having first local run and comes off some handy runs in Victoria. He will be hoping to slot in and if does will be thereabouts. DO IT FOR DAVE (10) will find this harder than latest win but can run into a place. CAMPAIGN DRIVE (3) only battled when had first local run but is sure to strip fitter for the run so can run a place. WEALTHY WARRIOR (1) and FUTURE PROMISES (8) are next best.
TOP PICK : WINGATUI DEW (4) is the one to beat.
DANGERS : LICINIA (2) is the danger along with HAPPY SCHNAPPS (5).
ROUGHIE : DO IT FOR DAVE (10) will be finishing off well.

RACE 7 : 8:22pm CHARTLEY ESTATE PACE 2200M
This is a very good quality C6/C10. CLAMOROUS (5) is a quality customer who resumes from a brief freshen up. He will look to push forward early so if can lob the breeze or the top will take plenty of beating. TESSANZO (6) was a very stylish winner last week in an easier race than this. She will be hoping for some speed on early and that will enable her to finish strongly. OUTBACK MACH (4) is another very handy type resuming. He draws inside his major rivals so don’t be surprised if his allowed to run the gate so will be in the finish. REMEMBER JOE (8) resumed with a solid effort so if he can get into the race at some stage can figure at odds. RUN RIPALONG (7) is first up for Deb Williams. He has a good turn of foot so from this draw should go back early and if he can get a cart into the race will hit the line well.
TOP PICK : TESSANZO (6) will be each way odds and look’s a good gamble.
DANGERS : CLAMOROUS (5) will be the favourite and the obvious danger along with OUTBACK MACH (4).
ROUGHIE : RUN RIPALONG (7) sneaky chance at odds.

RACE 8 : 8:59pm TASMANIAN MEDICAL LABORATORIES PACE 2200M
This is a very open C4/C5. PUNT ROAD DISCO (7) is racing in career best form and despite drawing the top of the track will be take plenty of beating with average luck. PALMISANO (3) has been disappointing at his two starts back. He should be fitter for this so should be no excuses as he will lead or sit parked either way can win. OUR MADDYS STAR (2) draws ideally and grows a leg when finds the top. He should find it here so will take some catching. VANDER JENKINS (1) was spotted hitting the line well last week and draws to advantage here as will sit just behind the speed and can win. LUCKY DAVE (6) pay to forgive latest start and go on previous run which would give him a sneaky chance at odds.

DANGERS : PALMISANO (3) looks the danger along with OUR MADDYS STAR (2).
ROUGHIE : VANDER JENKINS (1) can win at odds.

RACE 9 : 9:22pm PARRY PROPERTY CLAIMER 2200M
This is a claimer to finish off the night. MY GREEK MATE (8) is well placed here being the loner off the back row. He will push forward as soon as the speed settles so is clearly the hardest to beat. RAJAH WEALTH (6) is a tough type racing well and he too will be looking to get up on the speed early and if does will keep his major rival outside him and can win if this happens. PACIFIC SOUL (5) is getting very close to a win and is suited back to the mobile conditions so will be a danger. KARALTA DAZZLER (7) is a tough type who can run into a place at odds. OUR ARCHANGEL (2) did run 1:57 here two runs back so if he repeated that run has to be kept safe.
