STAR Tasmanian greyhound Keune notched another feature race win when she scored an emphatic victory in the prestigious Laurels at UBET Park Hobart last night.
The Ted Medhurst-trained bitch made it eight wins in succession when she proved too strong for a classy line-up and while her winning time was slower than her personal best (25.94) she still won with authority.
Despite having won her seven previous starts punters were prepared to risk her and she ended up paying $3.50 courtesy of an avalanche of money that arrived for the Rod Ransley-trained Hattie Bee that was crunched late in betting to start the $2.70 favourite.
Keune (Barcia Bale-Miss Roman Nose) showed ability from the moment she began racing but a fall at Devonport early in her racing career produced a bout of mixed form but her confidence has returned and she is taking all before her as she progresses towards the Group 1 Hobart Thousand in December.
