TALENTED trainer Brooke Hammond is no stranger to having a class horse in her stable with Pants Off Friday the latest to hit the spotlight.
Pants Off Friday made it four wins in succession when he faced the breeze but defied the task to score an impressive win over Levina Leis and Roman Times that dead-heated for second.
It was an impressive victory and following the win Hammond said the well bred four-year-old would be spelled and return to racing in mid to late December.
Pants Off Friday was bred by Hammond’s family from a lightly raced mare Arrogancy that is by Safely Kept from the Torado Hanover mare Sallys Delight.
Pants Off Friday began well from his wide front-row draw (7) and driver Kate McLeod had no hesitation in allowing her charge settle outside of the leader.
Genuflect led and looked to be traveling well 500m out.
But when McLeod called on Pants Off Friday to extend nearing the home turn the gelding quickly forged to the lead and was untroubled to hold out the opposition in the run to the line.
