We are heading back up to the North West Coast for a bumper ten-event card. We will see the return of one of Tasmania’s most promising pacers in Jerrys Jet. There also looks to be some very competitive racing as there are some very good fields.

RACE 1 : 5:27pm JOHN MCKENNA RACE NIGHT VET PACE 2297M
This is the first of a big card. RYLEY MAJOR (1) was a very smart two year old who resumes here as a three year old. He has trialled up well for his resumption and draws ideally so is sure to be the hardest to beat. POCKETS OF COURAGE (4) is a handy type who may try and get across like he did in the Sweepstakes final last year in where he got three parts over either way he is the danger. ART OF MY ART (7) draws to follow through behind the likely favourite so has a great place chance. METRO MOUSE (11) is a tough type who always gives his all so if he can get into the race at some stage will be thereabouts. TISU BOMBBELLE (8) , KARALTA STARDUST (9) and KEN TWO STARS (10) are all capable of filling a place.

RACE 2 : 5:52pm KG&PL REDPATH TRUCK & BACKHOE HIRE NORTH WEST PLATE FINAL 2286M
This is a very tough stand start affair. YOUNG BRUISER (9) has been racing well in similar races to this of late. He draws inside the second row of the 10m runners so will be hoping for a good beginning so will take plenty of beating. DAYRAID (5) was very good at his first local run when hit the line well. He will be hoping to settle handy and has a great chance if this eventuates. NEXT SOUND (3) does ping the tapes so would not surprise me if speared to the lead so will pay to keep safe. CHRISTIAN JAZ (6) is another that has been thereabouts of late so with a smooth beginning can win. DAYS LIKE THIS (1) is racing very well and if she begins safely and lobbed on top she may prove too good for them but is just a slight query from the tapes. JANE GRANT (4) , BUMBLE DON (7) , BOUTIQUE ART (8) , MEI GEI (10) and LAUGHYAHEADOFF (11) are next best.
TOP PICK : YOUNG BRUISER (9) looks the safest option.

RACE 3 : 6:17pm MAXFIELD DRILLING LATROBE CUP DIVISION ONE 2297M
This promises to be a very good C1/C2. BISPING (10) is a very promising pacer who is resuming. He will be hoping to settle early then look to get into the race at some stage so will take plenty of beating. RAMPLING (4) is a very tough type who likes to keep running at a good tempo so if lobbed in the breeze will give a good sight. BONES JONES (11) was a very good winner at his first local run but draws out the back here so will be relying on getting the right trip into the race. CEMENTO RAPIDO (2) didn’t have the best of luck last start so if you go on previous form has to be kept safe. WHO IS HARDEEN (1) , MASTER CHARLIE (3) , UNION FORCE (5) , GOTTALOVE FRIDAYS (7) and MASTER PAIGE (9) are all capable of filling a minor place.
TOP PICK : BISPING (10) will be hard to beat.

RACE 4 : 6:54pm ROBERTS RURAL SUPPLIES MOBILE 2297M
This is another tough race being for the C3/C4 pacers. ALPINION (2) is a pretty tough type who death seated and won well here two runs back. He draws to sit parked again or may even roll to the top so looks the hardest to beat. ALL ABOUT ALICE (1) has drawn ideally as can even lead or sit behind the leader so is a great each way bet. LITTLE JETHRO (5) is in career best form who will look to push forward at some stage so has to be included. IM FULL TILT (3) is always thereabouts in this grade so has to be kept safe. KINGS LAW (9) was good when having first local run after leading up the three wide line. He will be hoping to get a cart onto the race and if does can win at odds. CASCADE FLYER (4) , WILLBE DOC (6) , STRANGE CONDUCT (7) and LAST GUY STANDING (8) are all capable of running into a place at odds.
TOP PICK : ALL ABOUT ALICE (1) looks a good each way gamble.

RACE 5 : 7:27pm FROTHY FRIDAY ON THE DECK PACE 2297M
Here we see the return of one Tasmania’s most promising pacers. JERRYS JET (1) is a very gifted pacer who has only tasted defeat twice in his fifteen start career to date. He has drawn the extreme back row draw but I’m sure he will put into the race at some stage and as long as nothing gets in his way he will be clearly the one to beat. MICKWILLREV (7) not sure what to make of his first up run but he did not look comfortable around the tight Burnie circuit. He draws inside the second row so will get a cheap so if the gaps open up he will be finishing strongly. FIOKI (5) is a very handy type who has been freshened up for this will pay to keep safe. NEONJET (3) was a good winner of the New Norfolk Cup so if he was able to find the top here can give some cheek. POKER STORM (1) draws to advantage so is a must for the exotics. DODGERMEMATE (9) and DELIVERTHEGOODS (10) are both very capable of filling a place at big odds.
TOP PICK : JERRYS JET (11) looks too classy with average luck.

RACE 6 : 8:02pm MITAVITE MARES INCENTIVE 2297M
This will be a very competitive C1/C2 for the mares. COCCINELLA (1) has found a new lease of life of late and didn’t deserve to get beat last week. She draws the pole so she should be able to hold up which is a huge advantage around so is sure to take plenty of beating. MAVIS MERLE (7) is a handy mare resuming and draws to get the right run so has to be kept very safe. MERSEY DELIGHT (8) will find this easier than recent outings and she does draw to get a good run through so is a leading chance. WEONA MASTERPIECE (4) was very brave last time around here so if she can repeat that effort is sure to be a player. STINGOFASCORPION (2) and FUSCIENNE (3) are next best.
TOP PICK : COCCINELLA (1) is the one to beat as long as not to skinny in the market.

RACE 7 : 8:37pm HARDINGS HOTMIX MOBILE 1930M
This promises to be a very good clash between too smart three year old fillies. CHICA BELLA (1) has been the star filly of her age group winning seven from eleven starts and over 60k in prizemoney. She draws to advantage over her main rival so that should see her winning another race. ITZ GEMMAS DELIGHT (3) is a vastly improved filly who keeps getting better with each run. She will have to sit parked outside the favourite but will be a good test just to see how much she has improved of late. RIVERLEGIRL (5) and THIRLSTANE KING (6) are both racing very well and despite their draws would not surprise if they took up to the fancied duo if they went hard up front. FAWZIA (10) will strip fitter for her first up run but place looks best. BUSTED (7) has drawn to follow the likely leader so can run a place at odds.

RACE 8 : 9:05pm NWTLHA CUP 2645M
This is a very open C7 or better stand. ALL I CAN BE (5) is the one that brings the best form into the race and looks suited off the 10m mark so with a good trip is the one to beat. BLACK CENTURIAN (2) is another that is racing very well. He will be hoping to ping to the top and if does will take plenty of running down. TRULY BLISSFULL (3) could be the spanner in the works for him as he can fly the tapes so if he lobbed on top can give some cheek. RAJAH WEALTH (1) can be risky from the tapes but if begins safely he will be in the finish as can do a bit of work in his races. RIVERBOAT JASPER (6) has had a stable chance so will pay to keep very safe. PHILTRA FELLA (4) is a very handy type who continues to race well so if gets the right trip will be in the finish.

RACE 9 : 9:34pm COLLINS HOME PACE DIVISION TWO 2297M
This is the lowest division on the C1/C2. SAMMY SEELSTER (7) has created a good impression since arriving to the state. He draws inside the second row here so will some luck to get off the pegs but if gets is the one to beat. LACONIC JAMANE (10) is an injury plagued pacer who does have his fair share of ability. He draws the second row so will be looking to get a cart into the race and can win if gets it. WIPETHESMILE (9) will find this easier than recent outings so if the breaks come his way he has a good hope. BLACK SADDLE (4) has been thereabouts of late so can be again here. MY MATE NICK (1) , RAINBOW PHOENIX (3) , CARD SHARK KIWI (5) and BUCKINGHAM BOY (6) are all capable of sneaking a minor place at odds.

RACE 10 :9:55pm 7AD PACE 2286M
This is the last of a big night’s racing. CHIEF DESTROYER (7) is well placed off some handy recent form. He comes off the 20m so will have to begin safely and will be the hardest to beat. OUR ARCHANGEL (6) gets into a very winnable race here as long as begins safely. He will be hoping to settle midfield and then look to get into the race to be a danger. PUSHKIN (8) also comes off some handy country cup form of late so has to be kept very safe despite the 30m. VANDER JENKINS (5) was a little unlucky when resuming. She is the lone runner off the 10m so will be thereabouts with a safe getaway. ME MATE LES (4) backs up from Friday night so if gets the right trip can run a place as can BYMARJAC (1) and TIZYALATOR (3).
