A CAPACITY field of 16 will line up in next week’s Betfair Exchange Launceston Cup over 2400m.
The field for the $200,000 Group 3 event consists of five interstate-trained stayers with Hobart Cup winner Up Cups elevated to top weight with 58 kilograms.
Due to the non-acceptance of either of the Chris Waller-trained pair of Villanova and Black Jag, all weights for the race had to be raised by two kilograms.
Local mare Geegees Goldengirl will carry 57.5kg with al other runners on the new minimum of 56kg.
The barrier draw for the Betfair Exchange Launceston Cup will be held at the UBET Racing Centre in Launceston on Sunday at 11.30am.
