WELL-BRED pup Shadea Kahn (Magic Sprite-Cindeen Shelby) could have a bright future following an impressive win over the short course (340m) at UBET Park Hobart on Thursday night.

The Gary Johnson-trained bitch jumped well wearing the black vest and after a stoush with Magpie Fencer to the home turn she sped clear and extender her lead all the way to the finish line.

It was her second win from six starts but she also has accrued three minor placings.

Between two minor placings in Launceston she delivered a strong win over 515 metres from box eight, which is no mean feat given the winning strike rate of runners wearing the pink vest on that track.

Magpie Fencer stuck to his guns to finish second ahead of his litter brother Another Fencer (I’m A Fencer-Bastille Border).

The Graeme Moate-trained Whodat Rosey (2) ran home fairly to finish fourth on debut.

The winner scored by 6-1/4 lengths with 2-1/2 lengths between second and third with the winner clocking a time of 19.45 seconds.
