Home track should help New Norfolk pacer

SOME horses seem to find another leg when they get to race on their home track and that could be the case for the Chris Hodge-trained Guerrero in the Blair Street Store & Take Away (C1) Stakes over 2160 metres at Kensington Park New Norfolk tomorrow.

Guerrero has drawn the pole position (barrier 1) and if he steps well from the mobile and musters his usual speed he should be able to lead.

If that happens he will be very hard to run down.

Waikoko King, Paddy My Boy and Lomandra loom as the main dangers.

The Steve Lukac-trained Left Loaded looms as one of the best bets on the seven-race program in race four which is a heat of the Dennis Sweeney Memorial Light Harness Association Cup.

Left Loaded has drawn near the outside of the second row but it should not prove to be too great an impost.

The gelding has been impressive in wining at his past two starts and if driver Nathan Ford can secure a run in the one-out line then he should prove too good for his rivals.
