BRIGHTON greyhound trainer Mick Stringer holds the key to the outcome of the WHK Classic final at Devonport today.

Stringer prepares Bergermeister and Spiritual One that look set to battle it out for favouritism to take out the feature event over 452 metres.

Bergermeister won last week’s Classic heat in a sizzling time of 25.48 sec while Spiritual One also won his heat from box one and stopped the clock at 25.74.

In today’s final Bergermeister will start from box two while Spiritual One will wear the green vest, which should give Bergermeister the nod with most punters.

Some of the state’s most promising greyhounds will contest the race with Rattle Gun (1), Due Diligence (4) and Seductive Miss (7) all genuine winning chances in what promises to be an outstanding contest.

The race is scheduled to start at 2.22 pm.
