The AAMI Hobart Cup will be a fashion frenzy as frocked up race-goers vie to win Myer Racing Ambassador, Rebecca Judd’s vote for the best dressed in this year’s Myer Fashions on the Field Tasmanian final.

Myer Racing Ambassador Rebecca Judd will head up a very fashionable judging panel that will include, Myer menswear fashion consultant, Max Coleman, renowned Milliner, Kim Fletcher, Hobart Mercury reporter Meryl Naidoo, VRC Fashion and Entertainment Senior Marketing Executive Stephanie Bell and 2010 Myer Fashions on the Field Tasmanian State Final Winner Daisy Ford.

The winner of the competition will go on to represent Tasmania in the National Final of the Myer Fashions on the Field competition at Flemington during the 2011 Melbourne Cup Carnival later this year.

The 2011 AAMI Hobart Cup marks Rebecca Judd’s third visit to the state, with Myer’s Racing Fashion Ambassador very keen to see what the local fashionistas will be wearing trackside.

“Every race meet has it’s own distinct style and I can’t wait to see what the Tasmanian competitors bring in 2011 to the Myer Fashions on the Field competition.” Mrs Judd said.

“When it comes to racing fashion, make sure you dress appropriately for the day – don’t reveal too much skin and millinery is a must!” Mrs Judd continued.

Tasmanian Racing Club CEO, Mike Wisby, is looking forward to a great event and is very excited to have Rebecca on board again for this year’s Cup.

“The Tasmanian Racing Club is delighted to have Myer as the club’s fashion partner again and happy to announce we have come to terms until 2013. The presence of Myer and their Racing Ambassador, Rebecca Judd, will assist in bringing out the best in fashion at this year’s AAMI Hobart Cup” Mr Wisby said.

The fashion stakes are high with a prize pool totalling more than $10,000, including Myer Gift Cards, accommodation packages and more, going to the best dressed competitors in Myer Fashions on the Field. This year will also mark the return of the Men’s Racewear category, with $1,500 in Myer Gift Cards up for grabs.

Registration for the competition will be held at the Myer Fashions on the Field enclosure on race day from 11.00 am until 12.30pm with women’s heats commencing at approximately 12.40pm and the men’s heats commencing at approximately 1.45pm. For further details, please visit www.flemington.com.au.
