ACCOMPLISHED reinswoman Natalee Emery kept her flawless driving record on Paul Williams’ trained horses intact in Hobart on Sunday night.

Emery guided five-year-old Iden Rocky to victory in the Midlands Coaches Stakes over 1609 metres to make it eight consecutive wins aboard Williams-trained horses.

She has only had nine drives for Williams with her debut effort a luckless second.

Emery settled Iden Rocky in the coveted one-out-one-back position and when she eased her charge out three-wide approaching the home turn the gelding gradually wore down the leaders and hit the line two metres clear of Alpine Art with Cullens Count almost a metre astern.

“Iden Rocky went super and it was another great drive by Natalee (Emery),” Williams said.

Iden Rocky was one of Williams’ stable star but a training track mishap set the gelding back a peg or two.

“Iden Rocky was going along extra well but he choked down on me during a track workout at Brighton when working with my other good horse Gamblers Rustler and he took a while for him to recover from the ordeal,” Williams said.

“His first run back was fair but he won for Natalee at his subsequent start and last Sunday proved to me he’s back to where he was before the track work mishap,” he said.

Emery will be trying to extent her winning sequence for Williams in Hobart next Sunday where she will again partner Iden Rocky and his stable star Redside Shrek.

“Iden Rocky got out of his gear soon after the start on Sunday so he’s out of the draw and that will make his task harder met Sunday but Redside Shrek should be hard to beat, provided the race stands up.”

“They’ve only got four nominated for the open free-for-all so I’m hoping we get a few more nominations so that Shrek goes around,” he said.
