CLASSY greyhound Posh Di looks set to make it a hat trick of wins when she takes on a handy field in the first heat of the Launceston Mitsubishi Medley series at The TOTE Racing Centre in Launceston tonight (Nov 1).
Posh Di is coming off two impressive wins against similar opposition over this course and distance with the most recent by over six lengths last Monday night over National Vision in the Big Dog Racing Supplements middle distance final.
The Anthony Bullock-trained bitch has also been racing with success in Victoria where she won middle distance races on both metropolitan tracks before returning to Tasmania last month.
Posh Di has drawn awkwardly in box four but her good box manners and early speed should ensure she is well-placed at the first turn.
The bitch’s mid-race splits are her big asset and of late she has been getting stronger at the business end of proceedings.
The logical danger is last-start winner Monster Prince that outgunned Mushy Pease in a strong field over 452 metres at Devonport last Tuesday.
Lowanna Lad, prepared by Alan Anderson, returned to winning form in Hobart last Thursday night and he would only have to mirror that performance from box one to be very hard to beat in the last race on the 10-event card.
