TEA Tree trainer Gary Greig looks set to dominate tonight’s Betfair Young Star Classic Heats at Tattersall’s Park tonight with his kennel starts Showtime and Octane Assassin.

Showtime (R1) has won his last three including a fast BON 26.14 here last week.

This son of Hallicunate has had just the four starts for three wins and has speed to burn early and should win well. Hardest to beat will be the Leigh Wood trained pair of Raw Emotion and the consistent Ren Shen.

Octane Assassin (R3) ran a sensational 29.44 at Launceston on Monday Night to be just .04secs outside of Damek’s track record and looks like adding to his win tally tonight.

His four starts in Tasmania have yielded four wins at an average winning margin of ten lengths and that speaks volumes for this Pure Octane pup.

His main dangers will be the Gary Johnson pair of Mr Issues and Macey’s Dream while Callamac Ace should be followed with confidence over the coming months.

Fisherman (R7) looks hard to hold out in tonight’s Invitation jumping from box three.

His last start at Devonport beating Mushy Peas was hard fought and although he will face stiff competition here from both Mercury Morris and last week’s winner Ronray Bomber, his early speed should see him close to the lead early and clearly in front turning from home which should enable him to hold out the swoopers.

Best Bets: R1 # 6 Showtime, R3 # 6 Octane Assassin, R4 # 7 Citi Legend.

Best E/W: R5 # 1 Bit Regal, R7 # 3 Fisherman, R8 # 2 Girrawarra Ali.
