TWO heats of the Greg Fahey Distance Championship will be the highlights on a strong ten event card at Tattersall’s Park tonight.

Track Record Holder Thirteen Black (R2) steps out in Heat One and should advance to next week’s final with ease.

Clearly the quickest dog in the State over this trip this son of Bond is unbeaten here and is in form so it will take a super performance to beat him.

Common Interest may lead for a long way while Where’s Ned & Sandhog could sneak a place.

In the other heat (R3) the much travelled Sitka should be hard to hold out.

Having had a very successful Western Australian campaign where she won ten races at both Cannington and Mandurah, this daughter of Collide has had three starts back in Tassie all over the 461m here and trainer Mick Louth couldn’t be more pleased with her work on and off the track.

Sitka will be targeting the National Distance Championships in August and will compete throughout the Launceston Distance Series in July.

Her main opposition tonight will come from speedster Munich Monelli while Rotation won easily on Monday night and looks a chance each way.

Devonport Derby Winner Sonny’s Brindle (R5) will be at prohibitive odds but should salute while champion bitch Topline Doovee (R7) will be hard to stop after a fighting win last week.

Best Bets: R3 # 4 Sitka, R5 # 6 Sonny’s Brindle, R8 # 4 Posh Emma.

Best E/W: R2 # 2 Thirteen Black, R7 # 4 Regent Typhoon, R10 # 1 Ice Krystals.
