SUPER Joe Cool for Mangalore trainer Mick Stringer should qualify for next week’s Easter Cup Final by winning his heat, which is the fourth race on the 10-event card at Tattersall’s Park.

This son of the mighty Brett Lee has had five starts in Tasmania for 2 wins and 3 placings and in the small field should position himself early from the pink and be able to run over probable early leaders Wattle Weary, Sting and Perfect Socks.

The clash of the night between versatile veteran Akka Boy and the super bitch High Choice in the other heat of the Easter Cup (Race 9) should be a close fought tussle.

Akka Boy is quoted at odds on in the pre-post markets courtesy of his track record-equalling run over the middle distance and his sensational personal best time of 25.64 over the 452m at Devonport both last week.

High Choice also is in sparkling form having won four of her past six starts and she finished second in the other two.

The daughter of Where’s Pedro enjoys a wide box and jumping from seven will assist her in again a small field of Cup hopefuls.

High Choice could be the value but only narrowly.

Five heats of the Easter Plate will also be run with Zooper (R5), Nonna’s Girl (R7) and Pedro’s Pirate (R8) the most likely to qualify for next week’s Final.

Best Bets: Race 4 # 8 Super Joe Cool, R6 #7 Magpie Lomar and R9 # 7 High Choice.

Best Each-Way: R3 # 8 Sonny’s Brindle , R8 # 3 Crimson Doll and R10 # 6 Thirteen Black.
