UNDERRATED greyhound Ricky Satin broke a run of outs with a brilliant win in a strong grade four event over 461 metres in Hobart on Thursday night.
With the aid of the inside box, the Nick Howard-trained dog settled just off the pace and was within striking distance of the leader First Sargeant turning for home.
First Sargeant looked to have Howard’s dog covered but Ricky Satin dug deep over the final 80 metres to overpower the leader close to home.
It was Ricky Satin’s first win since November when he scored at Launceston.
The dog had almost two months off and this was his fifth run back the break.
Ricky Satin has won eight and been placed as many times from 36 starts for $11.200 in stakes.
