Eagle Eye rewarded for consistency

FOR most of his early racing career Eagle Eye lived in the shadow of his higher-profiled kennel mate and litter brother Big Moose.

But Eagle Eye’s efforts were recognised when he was named Tasmania’s most consistent greyhound for 2009.

Last year Eagle Eye notched 21 wins, 12 seconds and six thirds from 53 starts at accumulate 135 points and easily win the title.

Amongst his wins were the Tasmanian Derby and Illingworth Classic in Launceston and the Maurice Nicod Memorial in Hobart as well as a heat of the Country Derby in Devonport.

Bullock wins successive premierships

ANTHONY BULLOCK made it back-to-back training premierships when he took out the title for 2009.

Bullock had another stellar year preparing 127 winners along with 302 minor placings to earn a massive 1091 points to finish well ahead of his nearest rival Gary Johnson who accrued 747 points while Susan Gittus was third on 680 points.

Bullock produced 47 individual winners with his best performed being Astral Moon with nine wins closely followed by Chudley (8) and Posh Di with seven.
