TRAINER Peter Luttrell will continue to be patient with Bonny Jeunesse despite the mare’s impressive maiden win at The TOTE Racing Centre in Launceston last night.

Bonny Jeunesse was used up early to race outside of the leader Miss Slick but when jockey Brendon McCoull called on the lightly raced four-year-old mare she burst clear and held off determined challenges from eventual placegetters Genimay and Sand Or Stars.

Bonny Jeunesse arrived at Luttrell’s Longford stable with only one run under her belt and at her first try for her new trainer she was a game second to the highly promising Toughtee.

Luttrell explained the mare had a bright future but he would carefully manage her program.
