Over the past few weeks, Peter Staples has caught up with several of the state’s leading trainer’s who have key chances across the Ladbrokes Tasmanian Summer Racing Carnival.

A number of those runners compete in the Listed Conquering Stakes on Wednesday night. Hear from the trainer’s below, and learn more about which races their horses will be heading to in the coming months.

Scott Brunton – Hellova Street

The 9YO with over a million in career prize-money will follow the same path as recent years, likely to include the Sky Stakes, Thomas Lyons and Mowbray Stakes.

Scott Brunton – Count Da Vinci

The 2017 Hobart Cup winner returns as a 9Yo for another campaign that Brunton hopes will conclude with strong performances in the major Cups.

Bill Ryan – Speed Force

The winner of his last four races, ranging from 1400m to 2600m, the 7YO marvel is versatile enough to give Bill Ryan options ranging from WFA middle distance races, or another attempt at the Devonport, Hobart and Launceston Cups.

Scott Brunton – Mandela Effect

The 5YO gelding was a recent placegetter in the Listed Sale Cup and will be tested against the state’s best at WFA level for the first time in his career.

Adam Trinder – Twitchy Frank

She won the 2019 Group 3 Vamos Stakes at just her second start for the Trinder stable, and that race looms again as a major target in 2020.
