VICTORIAN apprentice Talia Rodder was back in the winner’s circle in Hobart today where she partnered La Ha to a convincing win in the 3YO and Upwards Maiden over 1400 metres.

La Ha settled worse than midfield but improved steadily from the 800m to the turn but she spotted the leaders at least eight lengths turning for home.

But under strong hands and heels riding from Rodder La Ha powered up the home straight and hit the line almost a length clear of Troyanna with Umatilla’s Gee Gee a close-up third.

Rodder scored her first winner in Tasmania at last week’s Devonport meeting and the next day she snared double at Warrnambool.

La Ha was having her second start for new trainer Jason Clifford who also owns the mare in partnership with his life partner Tania Oxley-Graham.
