AS part of the national celebration of the 150th running of the Emirates Melbourne Cup on the first Tuesday in November this year, Tasracing has arranged to give Tasmanians a look at the anniversary Cup.
The 2010 solid gold Emirates Melbourne Cup will be on show in the Elizabeth Street Mall in Hobart on Monday, September 27 at 1pm.
The Emirates Melbourne Cup is being travelled around Australia by Racing Victoria Limited as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations.
As part of the promotion Tasracing has placed an advertisement in The Mercury newspaper which details how you can win a Spring Racing Carnival Survival Kit worth $2500.
The prize comprises a 32 inch LG LCD television donated by Harvey Norman Electrical (Statewide) and LG; a Mercure Hotel accommodation and breakfast voucher; James Boag products; TOTE Tasmania vouchers; Jakadjari hair product package; Savoy baths package; Shimmer health and beauty pack; Spoutabout voucher and a Live-eat platter.
The only way to win the prize is to fill in an official entry form that will be published in The Mercury on September 22-23.
Details of how and when the entry form must be delivered to Tasracing are detailed in the advertisement.
Only persons 18 years or older are permitted to enter the competition.
The winner will be drawn at the event on Monday, September 27 and must be present to collect the prize otherwise it will be redrawn.
