JUDBURY trainer Harriet Paul broke her drought of almost twelve months without a win on Wednesday, when filly This Moment won at 50-1 in a Maiden/Class One race at Tattersall’s Park over 1600 metres.

This Moment (ridden by Remi Tremsal) settled on the rails early from barrier one behind race leader Roses For Mary and was able to find the lead in the top of the straight, finishing strongly over the closing 100 metres to win by a length over Ureshii Tori.

“She settled well today and it was a really good win” Paul said.

The three-year-old filly was having her third run in a month with this her first attempt at the mile (1600).

“I’ve thought for a while she had some ability but just needed more ground.”

Paul thinks her filly will be even better over a longer trip.

“I think she will be suited in the longer three-year-old races, hopefully over the carnival” Paul said.
