TWO of top trainer Charlie Goggin’s star performers from last season produced nice trial form at Tattersall’s Park today.

Too Many Reds and Rose Of Scotland both won feature races in their respective age groups last season with Too Many Reds at the top of his game in the 3YO Classic while Rose Of Scotland was impressive in winning the $100,000 2YO Magic Millions.

Too Many Reds won his trial over 900 metres, narrowly from Fiery Over in what could best be described as a soft outing.

The four-year-old looked good in himself as he strutted to the barriers and he seemed keen to go another round at the conclusion of the trial.

Too Many Reds won the Carbine Club Stakes in Hobart and 3YO Classic in Launceston before heading to Adelaide at the end of his preparation to contest the Group 2 $200,000 Yallambee Classic in which he didn’t figure, primarily due to drawing a horror outside barrier.

Rose of Scotland trialed well to finish third in a line of three on the inside grass at Elwick which was a nice trial but she did not look quite as forward in condition as Too Many Reds.

Too Many Reds will resume racing in Launceston on Sunday in the class six handicap over 1100 metres (race 8), while Rose Of Scotland will carry equal top weight of 58kg in a class two handicap (race 7) over 1200 metres.
