In this edition of From the Stables ahead of Schweppes Tasmanian Derby day in Hobart, Peter Staples caught up with Anthony Freedman stable representative Brad Taylor for insight on Rogues Point in the $150,000 Listed feature.
Rogues Point
The 3YO gelding enters the Derby off a last start third at Flemington when a beaten favourite. He was a $14,000 purchase at the Tasmanian sales last year and is given the best chance of knocking off the favourite Still A Star, currently $2.90 on race eve with Ladbrokes.
“The Derby has always been an option.
“He’s gone through the grades well. He ran really well the other day at Flemington.
“We can’t fault him, he’s travelled across on Tuesday night in really good order”.
