The final thoroughbred meeting for 11 days is held in Launceston on Saturday night with an eight race program. The two better class races for the night (races 6 and 8) have only attracted small fields but both should be good betting races.

The rail moves to the six metre position from the 1200m to the winning post and with significant rain during the week the track is rated a heavy 8 as of Friday morning. It will be important to monitor for any potential pattern given the rain affected surface.
