Preview – Launceston, Sunday 14 June UPDATED

12 / 06 / 2020 Article by: Matt Reid

You could argue strongly that no Tasmanian race meeting has been more anticipated than the one this Sunday where after over two months the first thoroughbred program will be run in the state.

Launceston will host 10 races on what is likely to be a rain affected track which is no great surprise for this time of year and the rail is in the 5m position for the entire circuit.

With field sizes restricted to a maximum of 10 as the industry eases its way back into things following the Coronavirus shutdown all 10 races may run at capacity, and punters should relish the challenge of finding a winner for the first time in a long time on Tassie racing.

Best Bets: Race 9 – 10. Sheorta. Race 10 – 8. Special Moment.

Best Value: Race 5 – 4. Subtle Cross.
