Apprentice Kyle Maskiell dominated the meeting in Devonport on Sunday booting home four winners on the seven-race card.
Maskiell warmed up with a second in race two and won the next four.
His first winner was Gaius Julius for trainer Siggy Carr in a maiden over 1650m and followed up with a gun front-running aboard White Hawk.
Arguably his best ride was on the Scott Brunton-trained Street Tough that was having his first start back in Tasmania after a successful interstate campaign that comprised six starts for Patrick Payne for a win and three minor placings and the gelding never finished further back than fourth.
Street Tough was backed in to start the $2.70 favourite in the benchmark 74 handicap (1150m) and travelled well in midfield before Maskiell eased him to the outside of the field at the top of the home straight.
The gelded son of Tough Speed unleashed a brilliant turn of foot to haul in the leaders close to home.
Maskiell ended his day with another superb ride to land Is Don is Good the win of a benchmark 60 handicap over 1350m.
Is Don Is Good was having his second start for Ken and Tanya Hanson, having been sent to Tasmania when his previous trainer, Charlotte Littlefield, and the horses owners opted to move the horse on.
Maskiell had the gelded son of Don Eduardo settled one out and two-back with cover and when he was eased three-wide to challenge in the straight he quickly hauled in the leaders and went on to win comfortably from Gee Gees Saint Nik and Invincible Rock.
Is Don Is Good was well backed late, firming from $3.80 to start the $3.50 favourite.
The four winners for Maskiell gave him an early birthday present as he turns 21 on Wednesday.
