Having started with a small team of four horses when granted stables at Rosehill, Chris now has 120 thoroughbreds in full work with the team constantly looking to lift the calibre of horses in the stable.  In the autumn of 2008 Waller prepared his first Group 1 winner when Triple Honour rocketed to victory in the Doncaster Handicap. That breakthrough win followed a nose second to star galloper Weekend Hussler in the Randwick Guineas.

Since then Chris has experienced many big race wins plus he’s taken out the past three Sydney Metro Trainers’ Premierships and has been crowned Champion Australian Trainer for conditioning the most group 1 winners last season.

Now firmly entrenched at the top of the Sydney Trainers’ premiership, Chris is grateful for the support of loyal stable clients that he has trained for since his arrival at Rosehill and is a regular at the major carnivals and yearling sales around Australia as well as venturing to the UK to purchase tried horses. Producing the stable’s first Group 1 winner in 2008 when Triple Honour won the Doncaster Mile, Chris Waller racing now lays claim to 33 victories at racing’s highest echelon.
