THE Margaret Rossendell kennel has been in top for this year and one of the better performers has been Agent Rusty that has struck a purple patch of late.
Agent Rusty notched his fourth win from his last six starts when he powered his way to victory in a mixed grades 4-5 over 599 metres in Hobart last week.
The Pure Octane-Agent Elle dog showed his customary early speed and had no trouble finding the lead and from there on it was a procession.
It was his sixth win on the Hobart track where he also has racked up as many minor placings with his overall record of 16 wins and 17 placings from 50m starts testament to his consistency.
He began his career in Victoria where he won at Ballarat and Wangaratta before being shipped to Tassie where he had immediate success.
He won his first four with a juvenile win at Devonport followed by grade five wins on all three tracks.
His career stats of 18 wins and 23 minor placings from 62 starts makes him one of the most consistent chasers racing in Tasmania with a placed strike rate of about 67%.
