The success trainer Adam Trinder and owner Wayne Roser had with star mare Mystic Journey always places a focus on any two-year-old they produce at the trials.
Today in Launceston there are two juveniles that all eyes will be on when they strut their stuff over 800 metres.
Scarlet Warrior (Ready for Victory-Fastback) trialed for the first time at the end of December last year for a last of seven but waywardness prevented her from filling a place and a more forward showing is expected today.
Roser paid only $10,000 for the filly at last year’s Tasmanian Magic Millions Yearling sale.
Their other two-year-old today arrives in trial 13 in the form of Vienna Boy (Unencumbered-Gold Digger Miss) that has yet to be presented at the trials.
Vienna Boy was knocked down to Roser for $16,000 and while the sire has yet to produce any feature race winners this one was a good looker in the sale ring.
When this trial meeting was shifted from Longford to Launceston trainers rushed to nominate which is why there will be 14 trials today with the first scheduled for 9:30 and the last at 13:50.
A replay of all trials will be shown on the tasracing website.
